Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has spoken out about being passed over to sing the James Bond theme, which ended up going to Alicia Keys. The singer has a few choice words for Alicia and also talks about her plan for revenge, check out the report via News Magazine below:
Amy Winehouse, 24, plans to finish the tune she started writing with Mark Ronson, 32, for Quantum Of Solace and put it out at the same time as the new theme by Alicia Keys and Jack White.
Amy told me she wants to “prove that they have made a big mistake”.
She added, “I do think they could have waited a bit. If they want a worldwide hit, I have them all up here [pointing to her beehive].
"I guess they are going for clean-cut and boring. When I do release mine – and I am tempted to do it on the same day – this would be the bigger hit. If they change their minds, I’m waiting!”
Well, Daniel Craig and co, get dialing now.
I can't help but feel like this a pot calling the kettle black situation, minus the clean-cut image, because NEITHER Amy or Alicia Keys are thrilling to watch live, in fact their both boring, but if a choice had to be made Alicia triumphs her any day. 'Back to Black' still stands as a masterpiece, but not a single one of Amy's live performances have lived up to the hype, instead it has been the exact opposite, while Alicia Keys does seem to impress you every now and then (2008 BET Awards). No to mention Alicia Keys can actually sing the song LIVE.
Amy also performed at the V Festival this past Saturday in the UK. Check out her performance:
Further goes to show that Amy isn't in a position to try to call anyone out.
