As reported earlier this week, divas Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Natasha Bedingfield, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, Leanne Rimes, Ashanti, and Ciara have all united to sing on one song called 'Just Stand Up'," benefiting the Stand Up to Cancer campaign. After listening to the track, which is much better than I thought it would be, I still can't help but feel the lines were unevenly given and just like I thought one singer definitely had trouble sharing the spotlight, because her vocals are all over the track. Another thing that I didn't understand was how Rihanna manage to get more shine time than a lot of other singers who can actually sing. Ashanti, Ciara, Keyshia Cole, Natasha and Leanne could have all stayed at home, because their all basically non-exist on the track, but I guess they just did it for the cause, which is what its really about anyway. Kudos to L.A. and Babyface.
