In these weeks leading up to the Video Music Awards, I will use the Past Attacks as a way to recap some of the best and worst performances of the show's history. This week's clip comes from Britney Spears, who always seemed to up her game on the show until that mess that we saw last year. Her performance at the 2000 VMAs, featured a medley of 'I Can't Get No Satisfaction' and her mega hit 'Oops! I Did It Again'. Fueled with action from her controversial striptease at the beginning until her over the top dramatic and sexy dance moves, Britney here proves why Christina always took a back seat to her, despite having the most talent of the two. Britney had the rare quality that both Janet and Madonna possessed before her, to give you a smoking hot show to the point where you didn't really care if she could sing or not. Check it out:
