R&B songstress Mariah Carey has revealed the name of the lead single off her twelfth studio album, which will hits radios on June 16th.
“Obsessed” will be the first release from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, due later this summer. The song was written and produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, who crafted Mariah’s No. 1 hit “Touch My Body.”
“Seriously, this is one of my favorite songs ever. I love the whole album. I’m completely immersed in it. I can’t wait for you to hear it”, the songstress tweeted before, divulging more details about the track, “So ‘Obsessed’ is an uptempo, fun, summer record. We were gonna go w/ the ballad 1st, but don’t worry, it’s coming,” she wrote. “I tried to make something for all who love Butterfly, and even older albums, but ‘Obsessed’ has to come out 1st, asap!! It’s different for me, but clearly, it’s SO me!”
