On Monday, R&B star Chris Brown finally broke his five months of silence and spoke on his much publicized assault on former girlfriend Rihanna. The "Forever" singer used the video to asks for forgiveness and offer his sincerest apologies.
As I've said countless times, the main problem with Chris is that it seemed like he was refusing to accept any responsibility for his actions, so its nice to see that at least he's making an attempt to say what he did was wrong. Although you can clearly tell the video is rehearsed, I think it accomplishes what he and his team wanted it to do, and that was to simply show a sense of remorse.
As for the future, time has yet to show whether the buying public will easily forgive his undeniably wrong actions, but its very clear that the term "woman beater" is likely a characteristic that will be attached to his name forever (Ike Turner & Bobby Brown are a few testaments to that).
