NEW MUSIC: JENNIFER LOPEZ/LOLA FEATURING PITBULL - 'FRESH OUT THE OVEN' [BUZZ SINGLE]

Superstar Jennifer Lopez unveils a new persona named Lola, strictly for the dance track "Fresh Out the Oven", which features Pitbull and will not be featured on her upcoming album, Love? (due in January).

Surprisingly, I like it. Accented with an urban vibe that divulges into the areas of uptempo and slightly gritty, two elements that have spawned some of the diva's most memorable hits. It's fun, infectious, and packed with hard-hitting beat that helps Mrs. Lopez-Anthony deliver what is arguably her most effective cut since the 'Rebirth' era in 2005. Great stuff from Jenny Lo.

For those who have quickly written her new alter-ego persona off as nothing more than a token to her lack of originality, given Britney Spears, Ciara, Beyonce and others have already driven that route, her record label has released a statement sternly dismissing those claims.
Jennifer Lopez's new album Love? is due in January, but fans of the singer-actress can get their fix now, with the release of a dance track titled "Fresh Out of the Oven," featuring the rapper Pitbull.

A note of explanation: Lopez's new song will not appear on her upcoming album – and a Web site established to promote it, featuring a dancing female figure named Lola, has spawned rumors that Lopez has adopted a new persona.

Not so. "Lola is just for this song, it's not her ongoing persona," says a source close to the singer. "It's something fun. She hasn't become Sasha Fierce [Beyoncé's artistic alter ego]. There won't be anything to do with Lola on her Love? album."

"This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun," Amanda Ghost, president of Epic Records tells PEOPLE. "Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song."
