Celebrity Bug's Thoughts:
Performance wise, it was nice to see Carrie Underwood step away from her microphone stand and do something different, which easily garnished her the standout performance of the night. Sugarland was just vocally on a different planet than any of the other performers (truly amazing) and Taylor Swift brought the performance factor (sadly, she left the vocals at home).
As for the winners, everything was pretty much spot on, but we did want to vocalize our thoughts on Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
Entertainer of the Year is the show's highest honored and while some have argued that Swift was too young to win the title, it has to be noted that no one has done more in the genre within the past year and she rightfully deserved the title. However, Female Vocalist of the Year is a different story, given it is supposed to be awarded to the female who has demonstrated the most vocal ability in the past year and since Swift's range is almost non-existent, Underwood should have collected her fourth trophy, in fact, any of the females in the category would have been a better selection.
