American Idol winner Kris Allen released his self-titled debut outing today, and two bonus tracks from the set have surfaced with the Walmart exclusive "Send Me All Your Angels" and the I-Tunes extra "From the Ashes".

"Send Me All Your Angels":
Written by Allen with fellow Idol alum Chris Daughtry, the song journeys a man who has demons on his back and is trying hard not to let life's upsets get the best of him. Much like the material on his album, it features a well-placed arrangement and vocals from a singer, who really knows the realms of his voice. (3.5 out of 5)

"From the Ashes":
A Toby Gad contribution about trying to resurrect a failed or failing relationship. Not a bad track, but given the topic is heavily explored on a superior level within the album, it is easy to see why the song serves merely as a bonus. (3 out of 5)
