Barbados beauty Rihanna breaks the laws of love on "Cold Case Love", a new cut written and produced by Justin Timberlake's production team The Y's that will appear on her forthcoming album, Rated R (due November 23rd).
The production on this track epitomizes the word A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
The lyrics are powerful and she even unleashes a slight emotive pain, but her vocal performance (which still takes nothing away from the brilliance of the record) leaves you feeling shortchanged and at times, slightly annoyed. It's like opening a fortune cookie with no prediction on the inside.
With that said, I still can't label this one anything other than a winner, given the production is top-notched, the lyrics are stellar and the cut is extremely engaging.
