Young stars Rihanna and Chris Brown talked separately to ABC's 20/20 and MTV respectively, about the events that ended with the songstress being brutally beaten on February 7th. While he remained mum on the details, the songstress didn't hold back and answered every single question that was thrown her way.
WOW! Most people weren't expecting her to be so candid (myself included), but Ms. Fenty spilled the beans as she confirmed that a text message from a former girlfriend is what ignited the altercation, which is what had already been widely reported. She went into descriptive details with Diane Sawyer about what was going through her head, why she went back, why she left and confirms that this wasn't the first time, although she acknowledges previous encounters left her without bruises.
The songstress also opens up about watching her father abuse her mother, which is something that Chris has also said happened with his mother, and says she wants Chris to be successful and take this as a learning experience to become a better man.
To put it simply, this interview did not paint Chris in a good light and shattered a lot of bricks he was using to rebuild his career. As for Rihanna, I thought she came across extremely believable and sincere as she often fought back tears.
As for Chris' interview, it was rather pointless given he refused to shed any more light into the situation and basically repeated the information he gave during his appearances on 'Larry King Live' and Hot 97 with Angie Martinez.
