Innovative songstress Kelis continues to push musical and visual boundaries in the video for "Acapella", the first offering from her album 'Flesh Tones'.
While the Rankin and Chris Cottam-directed tribal clip is visually engaging from start to finish, the song, which was inspired by her 8-month-old son Knight, can best be described as the equivalent to a musical train wreck.
That said, one has to respect her unwillingness to conform to music industry standards and although this isn't going to help her move massive or even solid units, it does prove that some artists do it for no other reason than the passion.
