Last night, the top 11 contestants vying for the title of 'American Idol', hit the stage, where they tackled songs from legendary artist Elton John. Watch our favorite performances and see who we think should be sent packing:
Haley Reinhart - "Benny and the Jets"
Lauren Alaina - "Candle in the Light"
As always on 'American Idol' with the great performances also comes the bad and the following three performances are the contestants that we think should make-up the bottom three, as well as, who should be eliminated.
Paul McDonald - "Rocket Man"
Naima Adedapo - "I'm Still Standing"
Stefano Langone - "Tiny Dancer"
Given two contestants will be departing tonight due to the judges choosing to save Casey Abrams, the bottom three is a tough one to call, but based on the performances and their past history, it will likely consist of the above three.
Truth be told, Stefano actually delivered a really solid performance of "Tiny Dancer", but given he was in the bottom last week, I'm not positive that it was strong enough to keep him from landing there once again.
As for who goes home, Naima deserves props for taking risks, but unfortunately her voice was never strong enough and she might have spoken too soon with her song choice, given she is unlikely to be still standing after tonight.
Our second choice to bid adieu is Paul, who hit his lowest point with a terrible cover of "Rocket Man", one of Elton John's most beloved and known hits.
