After 10 weeks of NBC's hit competition 'The Voice', including the blind auditions and battles, Javier Colon was crowned the champion.
The Stratford, Connecticut, first won over his mentor, Adam Levine, in the blind audition round in April, and viewers stuck with him through the battle and semi-final rounds to name the show's inaugural champion.
"Thank you. I want to thank everybody at home who believed in me and voted for me and [I want to thank] my family." an emotional Colon said.
Beating out second-place finisher Dia Frampton by two percent of the vote, the father of two will earn $100,000 and a recording contract.
