After "Stupid Hoe" garnished attention for all the wrong reasons (much like her epic failure of a Grammy performance), Nicki Minaj dusts herself off and tries again with "Starships", the lead single from 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'.
The Red One-produced single represents both a win and lose situation for the Harajuku Barbie. On one hand, radio stations will undeniably rush this into heavy rotation, but on the other hand, it shows her deviating further away from hip-hop.
That said, even though it feels like she is selling out, after the huge success of "Super Bass", one cannot blame her for sticking to a formula that has worked.
