Country superstar, Carrie Underwood, brightens up the July 2012 issue of the Canadian edition of Elle magazine, just as she lands the fifteenth No.1 single of her career as "Good Girl" currently stands atop the Billboard Country charts.

In a interview with UK newspaper, The Independent the devout Christian also made headlines, earlier this week,  when she surprisingly voiced her support for gay marriage citing her faith as the decision maker. Read her response beneath:

Via The Independent:

"As a married person myself, I don't know what it's like to be told I can't marry somebody I love, and want to marry. I can't imagine how that must feel. I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love. Above all, God wanted us to love others," the recent CMT award winner said. "It's not about setting rules, or [saying] 'everyone has to be like me.'"

"No, we're all different," she continued. "That's what makes us special. We have to love each other and get on with each other. It's not up to me to judge anybody."
