In an accompanying interview for her August 2012 cover of Elle, Katie Holmes had nothing but positive things to say about her husband Tom Cruise. It is such a shame that a mere six weeks later the actress would pull the plug on the union.
When asked about her husband, the star said: "He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that." She also chats about working harder to prove that roles are not simply handed to her by saying, "If anything, you work a little bit harder when you’re in such visible circumstances." Hopefully, for Suri's sake, the split doesn't get ugly.
