Before he released his self-titled major label debut, Kris Allen had previously wrote and self-produced an album entitled 'Brand New Shoes', and last night during his performance at Joe's Pub in New York, he performed "Wipe It Away".
The performance marked the first time he has performed any of his pre-'American Idol' material since winning the show, but the tune is beautiful, he sounds amazing and it reaffirms that songwriting was always a talent he possessed. Watch it beneath:
