Tyler Perry Beefs Up For 'Men's Health'

Men's Health - November 2012, Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry
takes a dramatic and serious turn in his latest film 'Alex Cross', which raked in $11.4 million over the weekend, and on the November issue of Men's Health, the multifaceted star shows off his slimmer and healthier frame.

In the new magazine (currently on stands), Perry talks about training for the title role, his 30-pound weight loss and why he is enjoying the freedom that his wealth affords him. View quotes and another shot from the health publication beneath:

On the Confidence Being In-Shape Give Him:
"I walk into a room with a lot more confidence. All my life I've tried to hide my height. I was taller than everybody else and stood out, so I would slouch and try to hide it. But with what I've been able to do with my body, I'm owning it. I'm standing up when I walk into a room."

On the Freedom His Wealth Brings:
"I've worked my entire life to get to this place. The first 28 years of my life, it was hell and misery. Now I can do whatever I want. I don't want any drama; I don't want to argue; I don't want to answer to anybody. I've worked too hard to get here, and I'm loving this freedom."
