Country singer Blake Shelton has spent more time focusing on his second job as mentor on 'The Voice', than he has on his music career, which makes his Entertainer of the Year win at the 2012 CMA Awards all the more puzzling.
Well, now that the show has wrapped its third season, the star is getting back to his main gig by releasing "Sure Be Cool If You Did", the rumored lead single from his seventh full-length studio album, which is due in stores later this year.
Written by former 'The Voice' contestant Nicolle Galyon, Jimmy Robbins and Chris Tompkins (Carrie Underwood's hit "Blown Away"), the single isn't as memorable as some of his past material, but between its catchy chorus and his name, the single should continue his run and become his eighth consecutive No.1 hit.
