The world is a little less funnier!!! Legendary comedian Joan Rivers has passed away at age 81 after complications sustained during throat surgery. Melissa Rivers, her daughter, released a statement confirming her death on Thursday, September 4th.
"It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother, Joan Rivers. She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends," the statement said.
Rivers, who was as witty as ever on her last 'Fashion Police' episode, was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York on August 28th, after she stopped breathing while undergoing throat surgery, which later led to her being placed in a medically-induced coma and life support.
SHE WILL DEFINITELY BE MISSED!!! REST IN PEACE, JOAN!!!
