In a competitive situation between multiple studios, award-winning actress Halle Berry, who is currently in production on the second season of 'Extant', has sold an action comedy pitch entitled 'Mother', to Universal Pictures to be developed as a star vehicle for her.
The plot is being keep underwraps, but Pablo Fenjves has been hired to write the screenplay and Berry will produce the feature film with her partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas through their 606 Films Production banner. Aside from 'Extant', the actress wrapped 'Kidnap', a thriller that Relativity will roll out on October 5th, and is rumored to be reuniting with her 'Boomerang' co-star Eddie Murphy for a Miles Davis biopic, which has not been officially announced yet.
