SURPRISE!!! One week ahead of its scheduled release date, Kendrick Lamar has dropped his highly-anticipated sophomore album, 'To Pimp A Butterfly', on iTunes.
The early release serves as a tribute of sorts to the late and eternally great Tupac Shakur, who released 'Me Against the World' album, on March 14th, two decades earlier.
"Yesterday. March 14th. Was a Special Day," tweeted the Compton rapper. "20 yrs. Later."
Composed of 16 tracks, including the Grammy-winning "i", the set, which follows his critically-acclaimed 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' debut, features appearances from Snoop Dogg, Ronald Isley, Bilal, James Fauntleroy, George Clinton and a host of others. Take a listen beneath:
