Daniel Craig To Join Halle Berry In 'Kings'

Academy Award-winner Halle Berry may have found her leading man for 'Kings', the L.A. riots drama that will mark the highly-anticipated English-language debut of 'Mustang' director Deniz Gamze Erguven.

According to Deadline, Daniel Craig is in talks to play Ollie, one of the only white residents living in South Central that falls for Berry's character of a supportive single mother and helps her track down her kids once the violence of the riots begins to ensue.

The riots spread across L.A. and lasted six days, leading to 55 deaths in the wake of the acquittal of the policemen who beat Rodney King. The footage of that beating was infamously captured on home video and still stands as a symbol of police brutality. No start date has been set.

Craig is represented by Creative Artists Agency and Independent Talent Group, while Berry and Erguven are both represented by Creative Artists Agency and Management 360.
