
It was a hard fought battle, but Casey Affleck came out on top and was rewarded with a golden statue for Best Actor at 89th AAcademy Awards for his subtle performance in 'Manchester by the Sea' at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday, February 26th.
The actor defeated Andrew Garfield for 'Hacksaw Ridge', Ryan Gosling for 'La La Land', Viggo Mortensen for 'Captain Fantastic' and Denzel Washington for 'Fences'. Watch his long overdue acceptance speech for his first even Oscar and sound off with your thoughts below:
