The first single, "My Life Would Suck Without You", reintroduced the world to Ms. Clarkson and reaffirmed just how much the industry has been missing the element that only she can provide. The track went on to break Britney Spears' record for biggest jump to No. 1 by ascending from 97.
"I Do Not Hook Up", which is slated to be the second single, is a wonderfully crafted mix of melody and guitars, that, at times, rages on addictive.
The ballad, "Cry", shows Kelly digging up her country roots and delivering big time with both the track and her emotional vocals. The Ryan Tedder crafted, "Already Gone", takes a strong resemblance to Beyonce's "Halo", which was also crafted by Tedder.
"Do Let Me Stop You", "If No One Will Listen", and the Katy Perry written, "Long Shot", which realms of a spunk that proves it should have been recorded by the singer herself, are among the other tracks on the grounds of solid.
Some of the album's downfalls lay in the title track, "All I Ever Wanted", "If I Can't Have You", the weary "Save You, and the annoying "Whyyawannabringmedown".
The album's biggest flaw, is that overall, a bulk of the tracks seem to take on the same subject matter, that tends to bore out quickly and easily cures a case of insomnia. The album also fails to see Kelly take on any new ground, both vocally and musically, she plays it safe throughout the entire project.
That said, 'All I Ever Wanted', is a solid effort that's miles better than, 'My December', but continues to trail her Grammy-winning classic, 'Breakaway'.
