Love is a “Battlefield” in the video for Jordin Sparks’ first single off her sophomore album of the same name, due July 21. The clip was shot in California with director Philip Andelman.
Aside from the song being a complete winner, I think the clip, which is simplicity at its best, somehow manages to work. The songstress looks absolutely stunning and dramatic effects toward the end work really well with the instrumentation.
That said, I definitely think a more conceptually driven video would have suited the track better, but this does proves that sometimes less is more.
