Capping off a super successful year, Taylor Swift graces the cover of December 13th issue of Billboard magazine as their Woman of the Year, where she dishes on taking a big risky move by switching genres and how some doubted that she could do it successful.

"Everyone, in and out of the music business, kept telling me that my opinion and my viewpoint was naive and overly optimistic -- even my own label," says Swift, recalling the run-up to 1989's October release in the vast living room of her penthouse loft in downtown Manhattan. "But when we got those first-day numbers in, all of a sudden, I didn't look so naive anymore."

No offense, but it is a lot easier to switch to the pop genre when you have been making pop music the entire time and simply labeling it as country. Nonetheless, she looks beautiful here.

Pop superstar Katy Perry has truly been living a 'Teenage Dream' on the charts since she released the chart-topping album in August 2010, which counting its re-release earlier this year has produced six No.1 singles.

As a result of her success, Perry has been named as the media outlet's Woman of the Year, following in the footsteps of Ciara (2008), Beyonce (2009), Fergie (2010) and Taylor Swift (2011). Watch Perry talk about being bestowed with the honor beneath:

On Friday (December 2nd), Taylor Swift attended the 2011 Billboard Women in Music Awards in New York, where she was crowned the Woman of the Year.

In addition to fronting the magazine, the 21-year-old country superstar has also premiered a visual for "Ours". Watch her acceptance speech and video below:
