Disney starlets Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato posed for the camera is a shiny silver number and a ruffled peach mini, respectively.

Black Eyed Peas front-woman Fergie looked fabulous in a studded gown and her group collected awards for Favorite Band in the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B categories.

Alicia Keys failed to electrify in an blue bedazzled mini and matching pumps. Inside the star hit the stage twice joining Jay-Z for "Empire State of Mind", before going solo on "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart"

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert bought his personal style to a classic black suit, before closing the show with racy performance.

Leona Lewis hit the carpet in a black artsy number and heavy-looking booties.

The original posed with the newest as Idol winners Kelly Clarkson and Kris Allen smiled for the cameras. Kelly.... Kelly....Kelly.

2009 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS [PERFORMANCES]

11/23/2009 0
The 2009 American Music Awards took place on November 22nd at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California, which boast a star-studded list of performers including Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Jay-Z and Lady GaGa.

Janet Jackson - Medley (including "Make Me"):

Shakira - "Give It Up to Me":

Kelly Clarkson - "Already Gone":

Daughtry - "Life After You":

Black Eyed Peas - "Meet Me Halfway" & "Boom Boom Pow":

Whitney Houston - "I Didn't Know My Own Strength":

Mary J. Blige - "I Am":

Jennifer Lopez - "Louboutins":

Alicia Keys - "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart":

Lady GaGa - "Bad Romance" & "Speechless":

Rihanna - "Wait Your Turn" & "Hard":

Jay-Z & Alicia Keys - "Empire State of Mind":

Eminem featuring 50 Cent - "Crack A Bottle" & "Forever":

Carrie Underwood - "Cowboy Casanova":

Green Day - "21 Guns":

Keith Urban - "Kiss A Girl":

Adam Lambert - "For Your Entertainment":

Best of the Night:
Lady GaGa, once again, proved she's a force to be reckoned with by delivering a performance that was both entertaining and vocally commendable. Alicia Keys, who had already delivered a strong performance with Jay-Z, came even harder with her solo performance of "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart", by tackling some sexy choreography and as always, her piano made an appearance before the song's end.

Lastly, how could we not talk about Adam Lambert's oversexed and overly gay performance of "For You Entertainment". While his vocals are for an acquired taste, the performance was full of memorable moments that are sure to cause controversy over the next few days (the fake blow job and guy on guy kiss), but the best thing about the performance is that the singer didn't put himself in box and chose to take a risk that may or may not pay off, and that's something that you have to respect.

Disappointing:
Janet Jackson's 8-minute opening medley that seemed to lack the enthusiasm or energy contained in her past performances, Whitney Houston, who decided she wants to talk more than sing, and Jennifer Lopez, who not only took a fall, but also fail to shine in any other aspect of her performance. Not horrible or bad performances by any means, but given the caliber of work these three ladies normally produce, they each left you feeling shortchanged.

Worst of the Night:
Aside from his attire, which was two sizes too small, Timbaland and his guests SoShy and Nelly Furtado, were a complete and utter mess, while Rihanna, once again, proved that hype surrounding her is totally unwarranted by delivering a performance that defined the term lackluster in every shape and form.

Daughtry - 'No Surprise' Video

6/03/2009 0
With their sophomore album, Leave This Town, set for a solid July 14th release date, the guys of Daughtry prepare to move on in the official video for their first single, "No Surprise".

As a fan of their debut project, and even this single from their sophomore effort, I think the video does the track's content justice. Definitely not overwhelming or groundbreaking, in any form, but thats a feature you just don't generally expect to surface in a rock video, so no surprise there.
