Best of the Night:
Lady GaGa, once again, proved she's a force to be reckoned with by delivering a performance that was both entertaining and vocally commendable. Alicia Keys, who had already delivered a strong performance with Jay-Z, came even harder with her solo performance of "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart", by tackling some sexy choreography and as always, her piano made an appearance before the song's end.

Lastly, how could we not talk about Adam Lambert's oversexed and overly gay performance of "For You Entertainment". While his vocals are for an acquired taste, the performance was full of memorable moments that are sure to cause controversy over the next few days (the fake blow job and guy on guy kiss), but the best thing about the performance is that the singer didn't put himself in box and chose to take a risk that may or may not pay off, and that's something that you have to respect.

Disappointing:
Janet Jackson's 8-minute opening medley that seemed to lack the enthusiasm or energy contained in her past performances, Whitney Houston, who decided she wants to talk more than sing, and Jennifer Lopez, who not only took a fall, but also fail to shine in any other aspect of her performance. Not horrible or bad performances by any means, but given the caliber of work these three ladies normally produce, they each left you feeling shortchanged.

Worst of the Night:
Aside from his attire, which was two sizes too small, Timbaland and his guests SoShy and Nelly Furtado, were a complete and utter mess, while Rihanna, once again, proved that hype surrounding her is totally unwarranted by delivering a performance that defined the term lackluster in every shape and form.
