The annual Christmas In Washington special recently aired on TNT and the event saw iconic singer Diana Ross come out of hiding to perform for the Commander in Chief.

His debut studio album 'Clear As Day' was a platinum certified success and now, Scotty McCreery is prepared to release his follow-up 'Christmas With Scotty McCreery', his first holiday project. The album will be released on October 16th.

The singer has released the grown-up artwork for the album, which will feature a couple of original songs and holiday classics like "The Christmas Song", "The First Noel", "Let It Snow", "Winter Wonderland", "O Holy Night" and more.

Country teen Scotty McCreery found the perfect match for his voice with "The Dance",  which was originally recorded by Garth Brooks in 1988 and released as a single in 1990, eventually peaking at the top of the Billboard Country charts.

After a historic debut, Scotty McCreery’s first album 'Clear As Day', has been certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies. The album currently sits at No.1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums charts, a spot it has held for 5 weeks.

'Idol' champion Scotty McCreery became only the third winner of the series to have his debut album land in the top slot on the Billboard 200, where he follows in the foot-steps of the first two winners Kelly Clarkson and Ruben Studdard.

Additionally, McCreery is the first country artist to debut at the penthouse of the U.S. album chart with his first studio album and at 17 (he turns 18 on Sunday), he is also the youngest male artist to go straight to the top spot on their first try.

Previously, Omarion achieved this feat at the age of 20 with his solo album 'O'.

Still, with 'Clear As Day' selling just 196,000 copies, he clocks only the seventh biggest debut sales week among 'Idol' victors, since Ruben (416,000), Carrie (314,000), Taylor (298,000), Kelly (297,000), David (279,000) and Fantasia (239,000) all sold more copies (Mr. McCreery simply obtained the top position).

'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina have mapped out release dates and unveiled titles for their upcoming debut albums.

McCreery will release his debut album 'Clear As Day' on October 4th, and one week later on October 11th, Alaina will release her debut album 'Wildflower'.

For the projects, McCreery collaborated with Mark Bright, who is credited with helping Carrie Underwood skyrocket to the top, and Alaina was under the guidance of Byron Gallimore, who has worked extensively with Tim McGraw.

His video for "I Love You This Big" will debut on Tuesday, August 9th, while the latter will premiere her video for "Like My Mother Does", on August 8th.
