New Music: Maroon 5 with Rihanna 'If I Never See Your Face Again'

Maroon 5 has teamed up with Rihanna for a remake of their song 'If I Never See Your Face Again', the song will appear on the re-release of Maroon 5’s It Won’t Be Soon Before Long and Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad (due June 17). A video for the track was recently shot in Los Angeles by director Anthony Mandler.

While I can definitely see why they would have chose her, her vocals simply don't do the track any justice. With this being one of my favorite tracks on Maroon 5's latest album, I'm a little disappointed that they jumped on the who's hot right now bandwagon, instead of acquiring a singer who could have bought something new to the song vocally. By no means bad, but the track just doesn't contain anything that the original didn't already possess.
