Politics: Obama Makes History

A day after becoming the Democratic presumptive nominee, Sen. Barack Obama sat down with Brian Williams to discuss what roles in his campaign the Clintons might play, what the republicans might say and the most powerful story he heard earlier today.

According to Obama, “Probably the most powerful story I heard was today at a conference. A woman came up to me. She said her son teaches in an inner-city school in S.F. and said that he has seen a change in behavior among the young, African-American boys there in terms of how they think about their studies. Those are the kinds of things I think make you appreciate that it’s not about you as an individual, but it’s about out country and the progress we’ve made.”

Obama also discusses the most talked-about “fist pound” with his wife, Michelle.
