Ashanti Shows Off Vocals On 'Off The Record'

With her 'BraveHeart' album continuing to exceed sales expectations, Ashanti has lined up additional promotional appearances for the project including 'The Queen Latifah Show' on April 9th and 'Good Morning America' on April 18th, but first up, an appearance on the web-series 'Off the Record'.

In addition to reflecting on her first album and talking about her latest, the underrated star performed "Foolish", "I Got It", "Scars" and a cover of the Chaka Khan classic "Sweet Thing", which earned praised from the legend. The vocal growth from her debut to now is impressive, but for me, I still don't feel like she is giving it her all and it would be nice to see her use her live performances to expand on the records instead of using the same ablibs and taking very few liberties.
