Country superstar Carrie Underwood has tackled a lot since winning 'American Idol' in 2005, but she is about to take on her biggest challenge ever: Motherhood! The 6x-Grammy Award winner announced the news via social media earlier today (September 1st).
"In honor of 'Labor' Day ... Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier!" the 31-year-old posted Monday afternoon on Twitter and Instagram, along with a photo of her cuddling up with the couple’s two T-shirt-wearing dogs. One dog's outfit reads, "I'm going to be a big brother"; the other's says, "I'm going to be a big sister."
This will be the first child for Underwood, who has been hard at work on her fifth album, and her husband Mike Fisher, a center for the Nashville Predators. Congrats to the happy couple!!!
