Ciara gets personal on "I Bet", the first single from her upcoming studio album, 'Jackie' — named after her mother — where the 29-year-old seems to take shot at her ex-fiance Future, with whom she called off her engagement last year after claims surfaced that he was unfaithful.
Produced by Harmony Samuels and written by the singer with Rock City, the slow-tempo does recall some of her earlier work and while I like it very much as an album track, I can't see it boding well as a lead single. For her sake, I hope she proves me wrong. Take a listen beneath:
