It came down to the wire and require four consecutive victories to end the season, but Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 125-104 at Oracle Arena on Wednesday, April 13th, to set a new league record for wins in a single season with 73 wins and only 9 losses. It is one win better than the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.
Additionally, Curry eclipsed 400 3-pointers in a season and broke his previous record for 3's in a season with 286, which he set last season. Counting the 10 3-pointers he made on Wednesday, the record now stands at 402, a staggering number considering that before this season, no one had made as many as 300 3's in a year. Congrats are certainly in order for the Warriors!!!
