Simon Cowell Slams Beyonce

It wouldn't be a Beyonce album, if the bodacious singer wasn't accused of ripping off some one's song. Check it out:

Simon Cowell was left reeling today after Beyonce recorded a song that was originally intended for Leona Lewis. The track called ‘Halo’ was written for Leona by Ryan Tedder, lead singer for soft-pop act One Republic, who also wrote Leona’s transatlantic smash ‘Bleeding Love’. Cowell was said to be shocked by the news that Beyonce had recorded the track as he had previously agreed with Tedder that the song would be recorded by Leona. An insider at SongBMG, Leona’s record label, said: “Leona’s diary is so rammed it didn’t look like she could record it until next year. Ryan didn’t want to hang around so he gave it to Beyonce”. This whole thing is just getting out of hand and its clear Beyonce thinks the rules don't apply to her. First, Sean Garrett called her out about 'Crazy in Love'', then Ne-Yo put her in check when she claimed she wrote 'Irreplaceable', not to mention the suit about 'Baby Boy', which eventually got dismissed.

This album has already suffered two of these incidents and its not even out yet, first BC Jean, who wrote 'If I Were A Boy' with Toby Gad, claimed she didn't give her permission to sing the song and that Beyonce tacked her name on as a writer even though she failed to write any of the record. Although B eventually dropped her name from the credits, the point is it shouldn't have been there in the first place given she didn't write the song, and now this claim from Simon comes to the light, although I wouldn't exactly call this stealing since the songwriter did agree to let her use the song.

Not to mention the whole Grammy fiasco she pulled earlier, which I'm still pissed about because being that her songs were just released they are fresher in people's mind than songs released 7 or 8 months ago, making her more likely to get nominated than those artists that actually made the deadline.

  1. I DONT AGREE AT ALL, IF TEDDER CHOSE TO GIVE THE SONG TO BEYONCE THEN HOW IS THAT STEALING. NOW I AGREE THE WHOLE GRAMMY THING WAS UNFAIR AND THAT SHE IS KNOWN FOR STEALING SONGS. BUT IT WAS TEDDER'S SONG TO GIVE AND IF HE COULDNT WAIT FOR LEONA THEN HE HAD THE RIGHT TO GIVE IT TO BEYONCE. I THINK SIMON IS JUST MAD THAT HIS ARTIST MISSED OUT ON WHAT CAN TRULY BE A HIT.

  2. I don't understand why she's so intent on claiming that she wrote the songs. All she needs to do is sing! Give credit where credit is due and move forward. Beyonce must have told Simon NO in the past and he's still reeling about it that's all! lol.
