Hip-hop star J. Cole was one of the featured performers at the 2013 VH1 Do Something Awards, where he performed his hit single, "Crooked Smile", and although TLC wasn't their to assist, he got some help from Jennifer Hudson.
Earlier in the evening, Hudson was honored for her work as co-founder of the Julian D. King Foundation, an organization named after her nephew who was murdered in 2008 and provides much-needed supplies to school children from low-income families.
