While most stars over 40 are desperately pulling out all the stops to remain relevant and looking as desperate as they come, Janet Jackson keeps it simple and shows that there is no need to validate what has already been proven in the official video for "No Sleeep".

Featuring rapper J. Cole, the single serves as the first release from her forthcoming studio album and the Dave Meyers-directed video shows the icon slowly dancing around her house and letting her hair curls loose while singing the sultry tune. Watch the official music video beneath:

This weekend, the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bruno Mars, who will be heading the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show, entertained the crowd with his hit singles.

Other performers included Justin Timberlake, who debuted two new songs off his upcoming 'The 20/20 Experience (Part 2 of 2)' album, J. Cole, who brought out TLC and Miguel, and Katy Perry, who performed her new single "Dark Horse".

Hip-hop star J. Cole was one of the featured performers at the 2013 VH1 Do Something Awards, where he performed his hit single, "Crooked Smile", and although TLC wasn't their to assist, he got some help from Jennifer Hudson.

Earlier in the evening, Hudson was honored for her work as co-founder of the Julian D. King Foundation, an organization named after her nephew who was murdered in 2008 and provides much-needed supplies to school children from low-income families.

Watch the shining duo's slightly impromptu performance at the annual ceremony below:

Continuing to defy the odds of a sophomore slump with his 'Born Sinner' album, J. Cole stopped by Tuesday's episode of 'The View', where he performed his single "Power Trip" and apologized for using offensive lyrics about autism.

"As rappers, sometimes we try to play with words and be so clever and we take pride, but in this particular instance, it wasn’t clever, it was actually offensive," Cole said to co-host Sherri Shepherd, who happens to have an autistic. "The more I educated myself, the more embarrassed I got about it." Watch his performance of the show beneath:

R&B songstress Melanie Fiona has released the video for her J. Cole-assisted single, "This Time",  which is lifted from her low-selling sophomore project 'The MF Life'. Watch the newly-unveiled video, directed by Colin Tilley, after the cut:

R&B songstress Melanie Fiona continued her promotional push for her second album, 'The MF Life', by performing "This Time" with J. Cole on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'. The album is projected to move a disappointing 23K-27K.
