Actor Chad Michael Murray has landed a role in the ABC pilot Scruples, which is being produced by Tony Krantz and Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman.

The pilot centers on rich and powerful clothing designer Billy Winthrop in a world of sex, revenge and scandal, and Chad will play a playboy photographer Spider.

He recently reprise his most-known role of Lucas Scott on 'One Tree Hill', which descended in quality upon his season six exit and will finally conclude on April 4th.

Chad Michael Murray will pay a visit to 'One Tree Hill', before the aging and ratings-challenged drama, which he once fronted, takes its final bow in 2012.

The 30-year-old actor confirmed his return to the show via his official twitter by tweeting: "The secrets out ;) Im excited 2 say that 'Luke' will b reuniting with the amazing OTH cast, Producers & Crew 4 an ep! This is 4 u great fans."

The ninth and final season of 'One Tree Hill' is slated for a mid-season debut.
