Cardi B Talks Debut Album On Fiery 'Rolling Stone' Cover

11/01/2017 0

Rolling Stone magazine is hailing Cardi B as the breakout star of 2017, and the rap siren covers the publication's Hot Issue, where she dishes on her upcoming debut album (which she has yet to complete), the pressures of fame and love. Read excerpts below:

On Her Debut Album: "I got six, seven solid songs that I like. But I wonder if a month from now, I’m going to change my mind. She added: “It’s not as fun to do music. My mind doesn’t flow as free ’cause I have so much on my mind."

On Fame: "I cannot turn my life back around. I’m already a public figure, I’m famous. … It’s like, I might as well keep it going, might as well make the money. People are always going to talk shit — I cannot make myself unfamous."

On the State of Rap: "It’s so sad to say, and I don’t want to be the one to say it, but you gotta follow the trend. This generation loves to get high. They love to be on drugs. This is why they on that shit: They don’t want to think about what you’re saying."

On Fiancee Offset: "We polish each other. I could always ask him, ‘Do you think this is OK to do? Do you think I’m getting tricked?'"

Adele continues her comeback domination by posing bare-faced for the new issue of Rolling Stone, where the British songbird opens up about being afraid of fame, who she would want to be a member of her squad, being supportive of all women and why her son is the boss.

The 27-year-old star is gearing up to release her new album, '25', on November and the lead single, "Hello", has already broken records by selling more than a million copies in its first week on its way to debuting at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Read excerpts from her interview below:

On Fame: "People think I hate being famous and I don't. I'm really frightened of it. I think it's really toxic, and I think it's really easy to be dragged into it. Watching Amy [Winehouse] deteriorate is one of the reasons I'm a bit frightened. We were all very entertained by her being a mess. I was f---king sad about it, but if someone showed me a picture of her looking bad, I'd look at it. If we hadn't looked, then they'd have stopped taking her picture. That level of attention is really frightening, especially if you don't live around all that showbiz stuff."

On Her Squad: "As 21 got bigger and bigger, I started getting back with all my old friends. I needed them big time. I've heard about a squad. I wish my squad was all supermodels. We are, in our brains. I guess I have my own squad." She continues, "It's not as interesting as some of the other squads that are around right now, but maybe Rihanna can be in my squad! That would be really cool. Oh, God. She's life itself, isn't she? I love her."

On Being Supportive Of Women: "I'm a feminist. I believe that everyone should be treated the same, including race and sexuality."

On Her Son, Angelo: "He's a little angel. All the things I really like about myself, he brings out in me, and he's the only person that tells me no. He completely rules me. He's the boss of me, and it's so funny for other people to watch, because I'm the boss of everything in my work life."

Pregnant reality star Kim Kardashian West puts her boobs on display and opens up in a candid interview with Rolling Stone magazine, where she dishes on husband Kanye West, her brother Rob's weight gain, her infamous sex tape and Caitlyn Jenner. Read some excerpts beneath:

On Brother Rob's Weight Gain:
"It's not that mysterious, what's happening with Rob. He has gained weight. He feels uncomfortable being on the show, and that's OK. Do I think he smokes weed, drinks beer, hangs out and plays video games with his friends all day long? Yes."

On Her Infamous Sex Tape & Knowing Leaked It:
"We're in major confidentiality, so I can't talk about it. I don't really think about it. I thought about it for a long time. But when I get over something, I get over it."

On Learning About Caitlyn Jenner:
"I was shaking," Kardashian says. "I didn't know if I'd just found out his deepest, darkest secret, and he was going to come after me." Jenner called her on the phone a half hour later, and said, "One day, I'll talk to you about this. Until then, don't tell a soul." Eight years later, he said, "Let's have that talk." Before Kim's wedding to West, Kardashian talked to Kanye about it. "I wasn't sure if Bruce was going to be comfortable walking me down the aisle," she says. "He had just had his trachea shaved, so I knew something was going on."

Pop superstar Taylor Swift gets wet and show off her new image in the September 25th issue of Rolling Stone, where she dishes on her celebrity friends, going fully pop and her upcoming fifth studio album, '1989', which will be released on October 27th.

In the issue, she also confesses that the album only features one revenge song ("Bad Blood") and it's not about one of her former flames, but instead another female single.

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," she reveals. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'" Then last year, she crossed a line. "She did something so horrible. I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."
