On His Relationship With God:
"I feel like that's why I have a relationship with Him, because I need it. I suck by myself. Like, when I'm by myself and I feel like I have nothing to lean on? Terrible. Terrible person. If I was doing this on my own, I would constantly be doing things that are, I mean, I still am doing things that are stupid, but... It just gives me some sort of hope and something to grasp onto, and a feeling of security, and a feeling of being wanted, and a feeling of being desired, and I feel like we can only get so much of that from a human."

On Avoiding Relationships:
"I don't want to put anyone in a position where they feel like I'm only theirs, only to be hurt in the end. Right now in my life, I don't want to be held down by anything. I already have a lot that I have to commit to. A lot of responsibilities. I don't want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility."

On Selena Gomez:
"We don't talk often, but we're cordial. If she needs something, I'm there for her. If I need something, she's there for me."

Pop superstar Taylor Swift is on top of the world and the climb continues as she plays cover girl on the sultry November issue of GQ magazine, where she will dish on a wide range of topics including Kanye West in her first-ever cover of the publication.

The cover story itself, which will be released next week, was written by noted critic and novelist Chuck Klosterman, and in the article he writes, "If you don’t take Swift seriously, you don’t take contemporary music seriously. There’s simply no antecedent for this kind of career: a cross-genre, youth-oriented, critically acclaimed colossus based entirely on the intuitive songwriting merits of a single female artist. It’s as if mid-period Garth Brooks was also early Liz Phair, minus the hat and the swearing. As a phenomenon, it’s absolutely new." Like it or not, he has a point!!!

With the seventh and final season of 'Mad Men' premiering on April 5th, Jon Hamm, the show's leading man, covers the April 2015 issue of GQ magazine and he tells the publication that end of the show, which has garnished him seven Emmy nominations, is liberating and scary.

The star, who recently completed an alcohol abuse rehab program, says: "Look, the one constant thing I've had in my career is now removed. And that's an eye-opener: Are people still going to take me seriously? Am I just going to do romantic comedies for the rest of my life? What's next? And I don't know, you know? I wish I was smug enough to have had a grand plan. I guess some people would say, 'Okay, the last three years of Mad Men is going to be like this: I want to do a play. I want to do this. I want to do that.' I was just like, 'I want to do something that seems cool.'"

While he has been careful about the projects he has chosen since the show wrapped last year, he will appear in the upcoming Netflix series, 'Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp', and his signed on to star opposite Zach Galifianakis in 'Keeping Up With Jones'.

Despite an suffering a season-ending injury in January, NBA legend Kobe Bryant is one of three superstar players featured on the March covers of GQ magazine, alongside Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant and Cleveland Cavaliers big man Kevin Love.

In the issue, the Los Angeles Lakers god talks about being a veteran of the game and his relationships with Phil Jackson and Shaquille O'Neal, while Durant talks about becoming a bad boy and Love dishes on trying to build the ultimate team with LeBron James. Interesting reads!

McConaissance

How do you like the word McConaissance?
It's a cool word. It sounds good. It's got a good meter.

It's almost like you had to have one, just so we could call it that.
When you say it, it's like, "I don't know what that is, but it sounds good."

You've been famous since your early twenties. Did you feel like it was a problem, having your image set at such a young age? I've never had fears that I was stuck in one thing. I'm sure we're going to talk about the years when I was in romantic comedies and I was seen as the guy who was on the beach, running around shirtless. I did that. Damn right that was me. I wasn't scared like, "Oh God, I'm going to be stuck here." But I was like, I understand at some point that that is in italics now. So I said, "You know what? I'm not going to be openly presenting that for a while. I'm going to un-brand."

Romantic Comedies

Since you bring it up, is there work in the romantic comedies that you're proud of? Absolutely. These things aren't easy. What's hard is to make them look easy. Those kinds of movies are what they are. They get pooh-poohed by critics. They get pooh-poohed by actors themselves. And in a way I get it, but in other ways it's completely unfair. There's a buoyancy you need to make them work. I believe I gave them buoyancy. And some of the shoots were very difficult, with me trying to fight for the balls on the guy.

What do you mean? What's a romantic comedy? Boy meets girl. They get together. Something happens. Girl takes off. Boy chases girl. They get back together. The end. A lot of times the male is somewhat emasculated, meaning he has to crawl back and say, "I'm nothing without you. If you don't take me back, I'm nothing." And I was always like, "What girl wants that guy?" I've got no problem saying, "I'm sorry. You want to give this another shot?" But I've got to come back with some integrity—even if it's on a moped with a veil on my head. Look, I'm happy if you think I "cruised through" those. I did my work.

I guess it would be an asshole question to ask you to name them all.

Being A Dad

What do you mean by "secret weapon"?
Never is a man more of a man than when he is the father of a newborn. Whatever decisions you make in the first six months of becoming a father, double down on them. I mean, you're meeting the Courier. You're meeting the Shepherd, the Future Prince. You immediately have something you don't have to think about. You know what's important. Bam! And the clarity of that is like, "Whew." I definitely got more selfish. And at the same time, I think I got more compassionate, which don't always go together, you know?

Were you scared of becoming a father? It's the one thing I've always wanted to be. I knew when I was 8 years old. I mean, I wanted to be things like the Washington Redskins running back and all that stuff, but the one thing I knew I wanted to be was a father. I understood that was why my dad was making me say "Yes, sir" and "Yes, ma'am" to elders. You know, "I'm not on par with the adults yet. There's places to go."

Do your kids say sir and ma'am? Yeah. We just like it. We like the Mr. and Mrs. and the please and thank you's. We take a version of that southern thing.

Leaving very little to the imagination, reality mogul Kim Kardashian celebrates being named Woman of the Year by British GQ, by stripping down to her birthday suit for the publication's October issue, which is currently available on newsstands.

Hip-hop titan Kanye West, who is gearing up to release his new single "All Day", is featured on the August 2014 issue of GQ magazine, and as usual, the fashion designer raises a few eyebrows with his strong opinions and some bold statements.

In the interview, the 37-year-old rapper dishes on his extravagant wedding to Kim Kardashian, his thoughts on Beyoncé and Jay Z deciding not to attend, who he thinks is the hip-hop's top man and wanting to reeducate society on what a celebrity is. Read a few excerpts beneath:

On Hip-Hop's Most Popular Man:
Currently that spot is taken. Let's be honest. He [Drake] got last summer. And I'd never given it up till last summer."

On Re-Educating What A Celebrity Is:
"I'm here to fight for the re-education of what celebrity is. To say, "Yes, we are celebrities, but yes, we're also innovators, we're also inventors, we're also thoughtful.'"

On His Wedding To Kim Kardashian:
"Kim is this girl who f--king turns me on. I love her. This is who I want to be next to and be around. And then people would try to say, 'Well, you know, if you're a musician, you should be with a musician, and if you want to design, you need to be with a girl from the design world.' I don't give a f--k about people's opinions."

On Beyoncé and Jay Z Not Attending His Nupitals:
"All that, I wouldn't even speak on. It doesn't even matter to me whatsoever, who would show up. Because the most important person to show up there, to me, was Kim. That's all that matters to me. I had to fight for that for 7 years. But the fact that these other people showed up that are from different worlds but have done such dynamic things - they're all, in a way, equal to what Kim has done in TV or what I had done in music."

Taking his well-deserved place as one of GQ's Men of the Year, talented superstar Justin Timberlake, who return to the top of the charts this year with 'The 20/20 Experience', graces the one of the five December covers for GQ magazine.

The handsome 32-year-old is named the #Hashtag of the Year and joins fellow cover stars Matthew McConaughey, Kendrick Lamar, Will Ferrell and the late James Gandolfini, where he discusses his reputation, Memphis and his acting career.

On His Reputation: "I don't see myself as someone who's ever going to be defined by one moment. It's on to the next."

On Growing Up in Memphis & His Critics: "It's a struggling city with a defeatist attitude. I'm from this town, and I grew up with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder, so sometimes I find it funny that I've been able to acquire the patience it takes to be kind to people in our business. Because sometimes I just want to (expletive) kill everybody."

On Negative Reviews of 'Runner Runner': "This recognizable face that you work so hard to get, not because you want the recognition but because you know you're made to do it. The movie didn't do well at the box office, so I should quit? Hold on a second. If I was somebody else, you wouldn't have said that. I have the number one album this week, and I shouldn't have released it? Come on, man. You sound like a (jerk). It just shocked me because, like, you're trade magazines. None of your opinions count. And by the way, none of you can do it."

On His Upcoming Role in Coen brothers' film, 'Inside Llewyn Davis': "You do a Coens movie and secretly you're like, 'All I want to do is make people laugh in this movie. If I can make people laugh in this movie, then I don't care. Whatever else happens, happens.' "

He's coming off one of the most creatively inspiring years of his career, garnishing major Oscar buzz for his dramatic performances in 'Dallas Buyers Club' and now, Matthew McConaughey has been named Leading Man of the Year by GQ.

In the magazine's December issue, the Texas-born charmer talks about losing nearly 50 pounds for his role in the film and how it affected him both physically and mentally, saying: "I had one scene where I had to run from gamblers, damn that was hard. Before, I could have done that 500 times. The first time I took off running I made it from here to that door. My legs locked up and - bam! - I crumpled and went down. I went, 'Time out!'"

"That was kind of painful," the actor continued. "I didn't know my legs had gone into that much hibernation. I was pretty damn weak. But the energy I lost from the neck down got transported to the neck up. My mind was kind of hyper acute and aware and sharp."
