With her album 'Unapologetically' surprising scoring a Best Country Album nomination at the 2019 Grammy Awards and a tour with Kelly Clarkson in the works, country siren Kelsea Ballerini earns the honor of becoming Featured Artist of the Month for January.

The 52nd Annual Country Music Association Awards were held in Nashville, Tennessee last night (November 14th) and as usual, country's biggest night featured an all-star cast of superstars appearing, present and performing on the music genre's biggest stage.

For the first time in its eight-year history, the CMT Artists of the Year special was dedicated entirely to honoring country music’s women as Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman, and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott were the honored.

Today (November 3rd), rising country star Kelsea Ballerini releases her sophomore studio album 'Unapologetically', which marks her first release since her 2015 debut and arrives via Black River Entertainment.

Preceded by the hit single "Legends" and promotional releases including the title track, "High School" and "Miss Me More", the album doesn't features any guest appearances and the 24-year-old co-wrote all twelve songs. Stream the album via Spotify beneath:

Last week, the Academy of Country Music announced the nominees for their forthcoming awards ceremony, and superstar Keith Urban leads the pack with seven nominations including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for 'Ripcord'.

Miranda Lambert and newcomer Maren Morris, who will compete with Carrie Underwood for Female Vocalist, follow closely behind with six nominations each, while Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will once again play triples duty by serving as hosts, performers and nominees.

CMT will honor Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett as their 2016 Artists of the Year, while Kelsea Ballerini will be honored as the Breakthrough Artist at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center next month.

The annual special, will air on CMT on October 20th at 9PM, honors artists who have dominated country radio and the network's platforms, as well as, ruled the charts and sold out arenas.

The 2016 American Country Countdown Awards just wrapped at The Forum in Inglewood, California on May 1st, and the red carpet was graced with the superstar presence of Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan, as well as, newcomers Sam Hunt. See more arrivals below:
