'American Idol': First Look At New Judging Panel Featuring Katy Perry, Luke Bryan & Lionel Richie

'American Idol' is set to return to screen in 2018 on ABC, and today, the network unveiled the first look at the judging panel featuring Katy Perry, who reportedly scored a $25 million paycheck, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.

Last week, the Academy of Country Music announced the nominees for their forthcoming awards ceremony, and superstar Keith Urban leads the pack with seven nominations including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for 'Ripcord'.

CMT Announces 2016 Artists Of The Year

CMT will honor Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett as their 2016 Artists of the Year, while Kelsea Ballerini will be honored as the Breakthrough Artist at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center next month.

The annual special, will air on CMT on October 20th at 9PM, honors artists who have dominated country radio and the network's platforms, as well as, ruled the charts and sold out arenas.

The winners have been revealed and it was a big night for Carrie Underwood!!! The new mom took home three buckles at the 2015 CMT Music Awards including a win for the night's top prize of Video of the Year (her fourth consecutive win in the category).

Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, of the hit-making duo Florida Georgia Line, have been tapped to host the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards, which will air live from Nashville's Music City Center on Monday, December 15 on FOX.

The nominations for the event were released today and after a spectacular year, Luke Bryan leads the field with seven nominations, followed by the hosts with six nominations. Both Bryan and Florida Georgia Line, along with Miranda Lambert, will perform at the show with additional performers and presenters to be announced in the next couple of weeks.
