Breaking through as the first African-American woman to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama, Viola Davis added the gold statue to the SAG Award that she collected for her performance as defense lawyer and university law profressor Annalise Keating on 'How To Get Away With Murder', which returns for its second season this Thursday (September 24th).

"In my mind, I see a line," she said. "And over that line I see green fields and lovely flowers and beautiful white women with their arms stretched out to me to get over that line but I can’t seem to get there no how. I can’t seem to get over that line. That was Harriet Tubman in the 1800s."

On November 6th, country stud Tim McGraw will release his new studio album, 'Damn Country Music', and he has begun releasing some official details from the upcoming disc including the album artwork and the track list, which includes eleven tracks on the standard edition.

Making her second appearance on the cover of Vogue, stunning actress Lupita Nyong'o makes a golden appearance on the October issue of the publication, which sees her Yale education, America vs. Kenya and eventually having a family.

On Her Yale Education: “Before, I was just going on instinct, but Yale taught me that it’s about giving yourself permission to pretend.”

32 years after being force to resign and give up her crown, Vanessa Williams, the first African American woman to receive the crown, finally received a much-deserved and long-overdue apology from the CEO of the organization during the pageant last week.

"I have been a close friend to this beautiful and talented lady for 32 years. You have lived your life with grace and dignity and never was it more evident during the events of 1984 when you resigned," Sam Haskell shared with the audience Sunday night. "Though none of us currently in the organization were involved in it, on behalf of today's organization, I want to apologize for anything that was said and done to you and to your mother, Miss Helen Williams."

He continued, "I want to apologize for anything that was said or done that made you feel any less than the Miss America that you are and Miss America you always will be."



"Thank you Sam, so unexpected but so beautiful," she shared. "I did the best that I could during my reign during 1983 to 1984. On behalf of my family and my mother in particular…and your leadership and integrity, I love you. I love the girls and I'm so honored."

Following in the footsteps on his fellow London native Adele, it has been announced that Sam Smith will sing the new James Bond theme, "Writing's On The Wall", which will feature in the upcoming 'Spectre' film due in theaters on November 6th.

"This is one of the highlights of my career," said Smith in a statement. "I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it."
