Blake Shelton Named Sexiest Man Alive By 'PEOPLE' Magazine

11/21/2017 0

He captures hearts and laughs on 'The Voice' every week with his much-envied bromance with Adam Levine, and last week, country superstar Blake Shelton joined the Maroon 5 front-man, who captured the title in 2013, as 'PEOPLE' magazine's latest Sexiest Man Alive.

The 41-year-old crooner seemed to share the opinion of the general public when he heard that he was selected for the title. "Y’all must be running out of people," he told the publication. "Like, Wow, we’re down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical."

Scott Eastwood, Zac Efron, Armie Hammer, 50 Cent, Ryan Gosling, Kofi Siriboe, Luis Fonsi and the men of last year's breakout drama 'This Is Us' (Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley and Milo Ventimiglia) are among the other studs featured on this year's list.

New Music: Blake Shelton Releases First Single, 'Came Here To Forget'

3/08/2016 0

Country crooner Blake Shelton draws from his personal life, including his divorce from Miranda Lambert and new romance with Gwen Stefani, for "Came Here To Forget", the lead single from his twelfth studio album, which will be released later this year.

Although 'The Voice' judge didn't write the song, with lyrics like "Girl getting over him / And I'm getting over her", it draws a definite parallel to his new life with Stefani, who also filed for divorce last year, and it even offers a possible reason for his split with Lambert, who was the subject of cheating rumors, as he sings about "getting even with her". Take a listen below:

Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert Call It Quits After 4 Years Of Marriage

7/20/2015 0

Country music's golden couple are calling it quits!!! After four years of marriage and rumors of infidelity on both of their parts, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have filed for divorce.

"This is not the future we envisioned," the former couple said in the statement released to the Associate Press. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

According to TMZ, the divorce has been in the works for some time now with Shelton filing papers in Oklahoma a while ago and a judge set to officially sign off on the end of the union today. All of the financial aspects are said to be in line, given the couple had a pre-nup, and he will get the ranch in Oklahoma, while she will receive their home in Nashville. It's sad, but I'm not surprised.

Blake Shelton & Lady Antebellum photo ladyblake.png

It's a battle of the country stars!!! While country music is typically a supportive genre, two of its biggest acts are headed for a chart showdown on September 30th.

Blake Shelton, who returns for the seventh season of 'The Voice' on September 22nd, and Lady Antebellum will release their new studio albums, 'Bringing Back The Sunshine' and '747', respectively on the date setting up a country battle on the charts for the top spot.

Shelton recently released "Neon Light", the album's first single, and given country's unwavering support for him and his wife Miranda Lambert, the throwback tune has already nearing the genre's Top 20. Listen to the Andrew Dorff, Mark Irwin and Josh Kear creation beneath:

As for the country trio, "Bartender", the first single from their '747' album, is currently burning up the charts holding the No.3 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and the No.5 position on both the Billboard Country Digital Songs and Billboard Hot Country Songs. The Voice : Season 5 photo the-voice-coaches5.jpg

Fresh off their Emmy win for Outstanding Reality-Competition Series, 'The Voice' kicked off their fifth season premiere with original judges Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green performing "I Love Rock 'N' Roll".

Honestly, the award is a little surprising given the show has failed to produce a star and 'American Idol', which helped changed the landscape of television, never took home the covet trophy, but congrats all the same. Later in the season, iconic artist Cher, songwriter Ryan Tedder, and breakout stars Ed Sheeran and Miguel will link up with the coaches to help prepare their teams for battle. On Monday (March 25th), the new season of 'The Voice' kicked off and new mentors Shakira and Usher, who are sitting in for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, wasted no time getting comfortable with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

The foursome hit the stage together to deliver a cover of The Beatles' classic "Come Together", and while they are only slated to sit in for one season, I found them both to be vast improvements on their predecessors. Watch their performance beneath:

Listen: Blake Shelton - 'Sure Be Cool If You Did'

1/06/2013 0
Country singer Blake Shelton has spent more time focusing on his second job as mentor on 'The Voice', than he has on his music career, which makes his Entertainer of the Year win at the 2012 CMA Awards all the more puzzling.

Well, now that the show has wrapped its third season, the star is getting back to his main gig by releasing "Sure Be Cool If You Did", the rumored lead single from his seventh full-length studio album, which is due in stores later this year.

Written by former 'The Voice' contestant Nicolle Galyon, Jimmy Robbins and Chris Tompkins (Carrie Underwood's hit "Blown Away"), the single isn't as memorable as some of his past material, but between its catchy chorus and his name, the single should continue his run and become his eighth consecutive No.1 hit. Listen to the single below:
